The Beautiful Pacific Northwest

Here are some shots of the Puget Sound in Union, Wa. at the Alderbrook Resort and Inn. Those sea planes are owned by the Nordstroms. Their property is to the right of the resort and to the left is Bill Gates' very large home and property.
Union is a very small town. It's a beautiful place in the summer. Those are the Olympic Mountains. It's cool to see snow on mountains in July!

This is the resort's dock. By the way, today, July 21st is Grandma's 63rd Birthday! Then three days later is my birthday on the 24th, then three days later is my Grandpa's birthday on July 27th and then three days later again is my Mom's birthday on July 30th. July is a great month for our family. Mom and Dad also celebrated their 5th Wedding Anniversary on July 5th too!

It's Miss Kathy!

Mom's friend Miss Kathy came by to visit and hang out. She even said that I looked a little slimmer in the face. (Yes! I like her.) We played inside, out in the yard, and went for a little stroll. Thanks for visiting us. Come see us in Shelton anytime!

The Green Grass

  • Grandma and Grandpa try to take me out on walks, but we don't get very far. I can't seem to get past the grass, weeds, flowers, and rocks along the way. Walking on asphalt is so boring when there's so much to explore on the sides!
I am trying to find the perfect flower to pick. Daisy or dandelion? I can't decide.

Oh, now I'm over here on the other side of the road! I have a slight obsession with eating rocks. I know it's not safe or clean, but I can't help myself. Have you tried to eat one? Really, you should. First, try to find a nice round one. Then, dust off any dirt. Finally, when no one is looking, put it into your mouth and start rolling it around and chewing on it. It is the best. No joke. Try it!

Oh, having a great time with my Grandparents!

I'm riding the lawnmower with Grandpa. I tried to get his attention, but it took several tries because the mower was so loud!
I'm having so much fun on this machine! Hey, what does that lever do? What about that button? Cool!

Whew. I am SO tired from cutting the grass. I need a break. I am just going to lay down and relax...ahhhh...

Okay! I'm back up again from my break. I've got weeds to pull, rocks to eat, dirt to play with...

and I'm off! See ya later, Grandma! I gotta water the roses.

Oh wait! The hollyhocks, clematis, and lillies all need watering too! Gardening is a lot of fun!

100 Acre Farm

We went to 100 Acre Farms near Shelton, Wa. and saw lots of great animals. We saw a baby goat with it's mother and aunt, a pony, reindeer, pigs with their lil' piglets, lots of cows, chickens, emu, llamas, and bunnies!

I loved the mama pig with her 3 piglets the best! Arent' they so cute? They were tiny!

The piglets would nurse on their mama, then run into the field of flowers and disappear, play, grunt and snort about and they would do this over and over again. It was very cute to watch!

Hey! It's that homemade swing again!

Hi folks! I'm back in my swing of things here! =) The weather here is beautiful in the summer. It's sunny, warm, with a light breeze (and almost no mosquitoes!)
Grandma, Grandpa and I have been spending a lot of time outdoors in the yards and in the gardens. We harvested red potatoes tonight! It was fun digging in the dirt and finding them!
