Sofia is getting baptised tomorrow and we are fortunate to have so many of our friends and family coming to celebrate such a special day. Papa came in a day early to spend time with us and here is Sofia checking out her daddy's dad! Sofia has discovered her little tongue and wiggles it about with much vigor!
Here is our dear friend Sallie (Sanders) Holland from Beaufort. J.J. has known Sallie since they were 2 1/2 years old! Sallie is Sofia's godmother. Sallie is cooking up fresh shrimp that Cousin Batch brought in from North Carolina. They were delicious!!!
Natalie (Sallie's youngest daughter) is smiling and striking a pose while Sofia looks on in her Jumperoo. Sofia loved being with Natalie and her older sister Amelia! We wondered how Sofia would do with all of the commotion and people buzzing around. Sofia loved it! She showed a bit of stranger anxiety for a few seconds, but that went away quickly.
In the kitchen is Papa, J.J. and Cousin Batch who is Sofia's godfather. Batch lives in Buffalo, New York. We had a great time hanging out today! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at Sofia's baptism and luncheon afterwards!

Flamingos on the Roof by Calef Brown. There are some great poems in that book! (Shirts are so overrated. Who really needs them, you know?)
