Ski Season!

Sunday was Opening Dad at the slopes and we went to the mountain so Dad could snowboard. A friend of mine was skiing and I told Mom that I wanted to ski several times, so I skiied for the first time!

Wheee! I did really well! Mom and Dad looked like complete sillies because they were cheering and hooting the entire time.

The ski instructors said that they hadn't seen such a young skiier in a long time, but I took to it very well, apparently. I kept very good balance and best of all, I had a fun time!
This is what skiing does to a toddler. Mom strapped me in the car seat and by the time Mom got in the car and buckled her seatbelt and looked back (oh, a mere 8 seconds?), I was already asleep. Dad is getting his gear into the back of the car after a good day of snowboarding.

I had a nice snooze on the way home and could have slept longer if Mom didn't wake me up. I look forward to skiing again soon!

The Festive Fontanas

We started our advent calendar yesterday on our banister. Dad and I reached into the first mitten to fish out our treats. A handful of peanut M&Ms! Yum! I became quite fascinated "roli-pops" when I visited Grandma and Grandpa's store in Shelton. I ask for one almost everyday. (Of course I don't get any, but maybe someone will stuff one in one of these mittens/hats/stockings one day!)
Mom and I bake a lot. Here we made our first batch of Christmas cookies and I went a little nuts with the sprinkles. I know I'm not supposed to eat raw cookie dough, but somehow it manages to make their way into my mouth.

More cookies! This is Dad's old Kermit the Frog when he was little. I have taken a strong liking to it. I call him "Doo Wop."

Wouldn't you agree that I'm quite the fashionista? Dad bought this sweater for Mom but I had to put it on. It is so pretty! (It was a joke, but I think it's beautiful.)

A visit to Shelton and a pumpkin patch!

Yes, we love posing in these things as a family! We visited Grandma and Grandpa in Shelton last month and visited Hunter Farms.
We went for a tractor ride and ended up in a pumpkin patch! It was a lot of fun! I picked out a tiny, "baby pumpkin."

Here's Grandpa giving me wonderful hugs. I got to eat "roley-pops" (lollipops) and lots of them at Grandma and Grandpa's store. They are so good! (I don't get to eat them here at home though.)
The flowers in front of Grandma and Grandpa's house were still in bloom in October so I thought Dad and I should stand and get a picture. We had a great visit to Shelton. Hopefully we can visit again soon!

Some Daily Randoms around the House

I see Mom doing this a lot, so I figured that I'd get in on this exciting fun. It is so fun that I insist on cleaning the floors about once a week.
Mom and I made Barefoot Contessa Muffins. They were so good. It was so good that even Murphy snatched one from my hands. But don't worry. I let him have it. I yelled, "No! BAD DOG! Go outside!"

I am SO excited for Halloween. I ask Mom everyday (2-3 times a day) if I can go trick-or-treating. I put my mummy and bat on the couch just like so and asked Mom to take a picture.

I'm helping with the laundry. After I crawled into the basket, I said, "Ahhh...cozy."

We had a huge supply of green apples from our neighbor's tree, so we decided to make apple pie. I can't WAIT to enjoy it!

Dad ordered new snowboarding boots and left them out for me to try. I think they're a perfect fit, honestly. I can't wait to play in the snow this Winter!

A visit from Papa and JoJo!

Papa and JoJo came to visit us from Beaufort, SC last month. Here I am with them on a boat ride in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The weather was perfect. We couldn't have asked for better temperatures. (I'm actually in this picture too. I'm in the green stroller in the back taking a nap.)

It was a beautiful ride!

We walked around downtown and Dad helped me get on this buffalo sculpture.

Now I'm hanging on a moose. I won't fall. I'm holding on pretty tight!

We walked to the Rose Garden. I think this rose is my favorite one.

Smile! I miss Papa and JoJo. I talk about them almost every day. I am so glad they came to visit us. We had a wonderful time. Hope to see you guys again soon!

We have news to share!

That's right! "I'm gonna be a big sister" in May! Can you see how excited I am? I went to the first u/s with Mom and Dad and saw the little one. When Mom first told me that there was a baby in the belly, I took both of my hands and pried Mom's mouth wide open and said, "Ahhhh" and tried to look down Mom's throat! When Dad's friend asked me if I wanted a brother or a sister, I looked around and thought for a second and then yelled out, "Ice Cream!!!"

Fun at the County Fair!

When Papa and JoJo came to visit, we went to the County Fair and saw lots of animals, a log cutting contest (we are out West), and then stopped here for a family photo shot. I'm a horse, Dad just baked a cherry pie in his cute little apron, and Mom is coming in from the farm with a basket full of eggs!
What is this? It's Mutton Bustin'! The kids were between 2-5 years in age and they rode sheep rodeo-style and they held on for dear life! It was a hoot!

I'm stopping in to say pet and say hello to some sheep. I didn't know that there were so many different varieties of sheep out there!

Dad and I went for a train ride. We had a fun time and can't wait to go again next year! Maybe next year, they won't let mentally unstable/murderers take a field trip to the fair and run away and escape! (p.s. They caught the guy.)
